 In the southern part of Tokyo, right down on the bay, is a large area called Odaiba. Odaiba consists of the waterfront area and a large man-made island which can be reached via the Rainbow Bridge and the Yurikamome monorail line.

 The city of Tokyo has a wonderfully efficient, clean underground train network and the JR Yamanote line provides one of the most convenient ways of getting around. If you are new to Tokyo, get yourself a subway map and locate your nearest JR Yamanote line station!

Although Kyoto does have a subway train system, the bus network is far more extensive and surprisingly easy to use - even for three non-Japanese speakers!
